The objective of this workpackage is to stimulate senior staff exchanges between academic partners or between academic and industrial partners with an ambition of durable integration. Preferably the exchanges have the nature of a part-time involvement in the partner’s research lab or are consolidated by a many-year agreement between the respective organisations.

A Senior Staff Exchange program will be set up in order to strengthen the links and the coordination between partners, both in the field of research and education. Typical intensities of the exchange are one or two days a month (for short distance between partners) or two weeks per year (for larger distances). The exchange programme can be used for co-coaching of Ph.D. students, for coordinating complementary interdependence in the partners’ research activities, for giving lectures at a partner institute, or other activities that will increase the integration of the network.

An open program will be launched where partners can apply for funding of such exchanges. Applications will be judged by the Steering Committee. The network will typically fund travel and accommodation costs.
